TANGGONG uses WC6 (1.25% Cr-0.5% Mo) and WC9 (2.25% Cr-1% Mo) chrome-moly cast steel for superheated steam service up to 650C. C12A (9% Cr-1% Mo) is used for the highest temperature applications. For boiler feedwater, forged A105 carbon steel or F22/F91 alloy steel is standard. Stainless steel (CF8, CF8M) is used for corrosive or high-purity applications. Trim materials include Stellite, 13Cr, and 316 stainless steel.

C12A (9% Cr-1% Mo-V) extends service temperature further with excellent oxidation resistance for ultra-supercritical plants.
